I am wanting to switch to fixed blade broad heads and get away from the rage heads that I have been shooting. I made to good shots on deer this past season and lost them both and I hate that feeling! I know that there are a lot of different opinions on what head to use but I am open to suggestions. I am shooting a 29" draw at about 70 pounds with carbon arrows and blazer vanes. My bow is a PSE X-Force to help give you an idea of the type of speed my bow has. Just curious as to what you guys think I should shoot.
Thanks for your help in advance and great hunting to everyone this season.

I like Muzzy's 3 blades 100 gr. But any SHARP BH that is tuned to your bow will work added that shot placement is on as well.

After using the Rage 2 blade the last 5 seasons I switched to fixed blade for this season. I had a couple of questionable mishaps last season. I am shooting Montec and loving how they fly out of my set up...

I have only used fixed, just started bow hunting last year. I use Ramcats and Exodus. Both are awesome.

I shoot the exact same set-up as you..Bow, length, draw, and I too quit using Rage broadheads because they failed to engage several times resulting in lost game. I experimented with several more broadheads, no more mechanicals, and have settled in with Montec CS 100gr. They're extremely durable, reusable, and zip right through. Try 'em,you'll love them.

Get the 100gr Ramcats, put the 125gr blades in them and you'll have a 1.5" 3 blade at 102/103 grains. Plain nasty.

Thanks for all of the advise. Do any of the above mentioned have practice heads or do you just shoot them and replace the blades before it is time to hunt? Where is the best place with the largest selection of heads? Guess I will need to experiment with several types of heads until I find what shoots well from my bow and with my shooting style.

The Montec CS broadheads are one solid piece of carbon steel with three cutting edges. They do not come with practice heads, just use a broadhead target and resharpen the blades. I purchased a flat sharpening stone that I believe is under the G5 name, and those carbon steel edges are back like a razor in no time. Cabelas has a huge selection , as well as BPS. Shop on line, even Ebay, and you can get some good prices. Give these a try for sure out of that X-Force.
