Related to the post below, I read an article yesterday about theives targeting the high dollar ice chests, Yeti's, etc. Stealing them and selling on Crais list, egay, etc.

They suggest Marking your ice chest or "branding" your Identifying "sign" into the plastic.

For me, they will only get a $20 Igloo, I would love a Yeti but just can't spend $400 on an ice chest.

Good advice. Won one at a shoot last year and it does seem to be a quality chest. I won't be leaving it unattended.

p.s. I would not have bought one on my coin either.

Saw an unsecured Yeti on a flatbed pickup at Academy today. Just shook my head as we walked past.

I have a lock on the way. I have an SUV, and put the sticker on my safe! Did not feel the need to advertise such a pricey cooler on the inside!!

I built my locking cable for about three bucks at lowes. If they want it bad enough a lock won't stop any thief but it will deter the lazy and unprepared.

If you saw it in Weatherford on a flat bed that's prolly Gabe Cocanoughers cooler. I may just steel it from him and then sell it back.

I built the lock up plates out of 3/16" stainless steel and stainless cable
If they want it they will have to work real hard to get it or carry a plasma.
