Mine was a doe. It was many years ago, but I was mighty proud of that little gal. Took her on a high pressure Wildlife Management Area with a .50 caliber Thompson Center New Englander loaded with black powder and a patched round ball.

Mine was doe. Just at 100 yards on my lease in East Texas. Shot with my 30-06 my dad got me for HS graduation. Hit her in the neck and dropped in her tracks because it almost took her whole head off..

Mine was a doe at 13 yards. lost her to the buzzards due to the fact that my dad couldn't believe I had hit her....first one I recovered was a 6 point buck...

1969, 17 years old, Huge ranch in Alpine, Texas, shooting a borrowed Pre 64 M70, .264 Win Mag.

Small forkie was walking across the side of a hill, took me forever to finally see him. Put the crosshairs on his shoulder, squeezed the trigger, he dropped, shot through the neck. Luck was with me that day. Started a great hunting life for me.

I know it was a doe, but I honestly can't remember much about the hunt, or even my age at the time.

Spike, 100 yards with a .270 I was 12. My brother jumped me because I didn't see the big one at the fence when I shot the spike. He told me to shoot the first thing that had horns on it, so I did.
