Here is the piebald coot I shot this past season and Lowell Shapley with Gulf Coast Waterfowl is mounting it for me. I was gonna wait til the finished product but just had to share the progress so far! It will be stepping onto a Lily pad that will be on water made out of resin . All he has left to do is put it on the base and its ready to come home. What do y'all think?

Beats the hell out of the ole cookie cutter flying mallard. I like the way they created motion with the forward weight distribution.

Finally somebody that knows how to cook. The gizzard on those things is about the size of baseball. I'm not quite sure how it fits in there. They do make the best dirty rice you will ever eat.

Not sure about the East Texas area and where you are, but Steve German in Westlake Louisiana does outstanding work. There's also a guy named Kevin in Shreveport that does good work but I can't remember his last name.
