Think these shells are hype or good stuff for dove? Or no better than the basic cheap clay target/dove loads?

Definitely a better shell than the cheap target loads. Faster and more lead. I would recommend the 7 1/2 shot for dove just gives a little better punch on the extended shots. I even used them for quail hunting.

Same shell I have been using for years. Best in a SBE.

They have been around a long time. I used them a lot when a long time ago when I had an old Remington that didn't like to cycle. They are great for guns that don't like light loads for sure.

As far as knock down punch... I dunno. Doves and quail aren't the toughest birds out there. If I'm shooting an OU or pump I use lighter loads, I don't see any difference in performance. But then again I don't take shots outside 35-40 yards.

What are the prices now? Used to be $2.79 to $3.29 a box 7/8 years ago and about $5.99 to $6.79 recently.

I've used those shells for years. Not as cheap as they used to be but what is?

I bought 3 cases last month of them for $69.90 a case...only $15 more than their cheapest 12ga. shell. My son and I shot a case of the cheap ones this morning at clays...was weird, had trouble using skeet choke and switched to patternmaster and was fine....shot a box of heavy dove and shot fine through both chokes.

I have used them strictly for about 20 years. Shoot alot of white wings so I like the 7.5 shot.

Same here been shooting that shell for along time.

A good shell is worth the money in the field.

If a store is out of stock I will keep driving to find "Remington ShurShot Heavy Dove".

I use either these or AA's. Both are great. I actually prefer the Rem. Hulls for reloading over the grey AA's.

I agree. The pre "HS" AA's were great, but these days I'd take the Rem. hulls for reloading.
