You can expect a couple hundred for a single shooter up to $500 for a family package. Price usually depends on how often you plan to go.

NTSA costs about $350 to join and $200 a year per family. Range fee of $3 per day per person.
Good facilities.
I wish I had land to shoot at that was less restrictive.
My club in Ohio was $65 per year plus 10 hours of volunteer work per year.

$150 (I think) to join and $75 to reup, JCSSA... couple of years waiting list, must be recomended by a member.
You can take 2 guests at a time.

Greenwood Gun Club is $75 per year for a family membership, but we have about a two year waiting list now.

Fellas, do any of these places allow FMJ? Most won't, which is why our range time is at the lease.

Greenwood has a 325 gong and a 1000 yard range in addition to a 300, 200, and several 100 and 50 yard ranges. There is also a pistol range, a cowboy action shooting range, and a shotgun range.

$100 per year, with unlimited visits and each visit doesn't cost anything. It's just a flat $100. Several ranges and new clubhouse with indoor bathroom & kitchen.

$125/year. Must buy a share certificate (mine was $900). Share can be sold in the future for what ever you can get for it. I think current shares are going for $1300 to $1500. Membership is capped at 700. Excellent rifle, pistol and shotgun fields. I was on the waiting list for 2 years.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Haltom City Rifle and pistol club..
100 bucks a year including family. Guests are 5.00
I shoot whatever I want, FMJ, Steel Core.....
You can only load 5 rounds at a time in your AR's and you must pause between each shot.
There are 50, 100, and 200 yard rifle ranges...
And several pistol ranges. It's a really nice club.

My club is currently about $450 to join and about $125 per year dues. There is a cost for rounds of clays but no other costs. Members come and go at will.
There is apparently a new club opening in Rockwall that is asking $5000 and $10000 to join and $125 or $199 a month fees. A little too much for this ol boy...

Johnson County Shooting Sports Association $75 a year. Seniors are half off. 2 guest any day per range member. 5 different pistol bays - 2 of which you can shoot shotgun w/ birdshot, another 1 you can shoot slugs only. Rifle range 50, 100, 200 yards. Several monthly matches. IDPA, USPSA and 4H Come to a meeting and meet some folks to get recommendation for membership. What you don't say Undercoverdog... where are you located? Are you just tossing the idea around of starting a range and looking for info. Or, are you actually looking for a range to join. Stay safe!

NTSA costs about $350 to join and $200 a year per family. Range fee of $3 per day per person.
Good facilities.
Initiation is now $500. Dues went up to $200/year temporarily but have gone back down to $150 as of next June. The waiting list currently has 48 names, and that could mean a two-year wait or longer. Memberships are usually for sale, but I think the going rate is around $1000 if you want one now. NTSA has 2 skeet ranges, two trap ranges, a five-stand range, numerous short ranges for handgun, a 50-yard range usually used for rimfire, a bunch of 100-yard positions, and a bunch of 200-yard positions. It ain't perfect, but it beats the hell outa Quail Creek! Haltom City Gun Club is a nice little facility. I shot there as a guest back in the late 90s and was going to become a member, just never got around to it. I'd join that one if I still lived near that area.

Another option is to find someone who leases their land out for shooting...generally very little restrictions on what and how you shoot. I know a place down in Venus that only charges $25 a year.

Saw a post on the bulletin board where a guy had his for sale at 2,000.00! If he gets that I may just have to sell my membership and get back in line!

LOL! I think that's what some folks are doing. There have been a few names that seemed to perpetually on the wait list.
