I'd like to I see some fields and ponds they have and they look good enough for me but every lease up that way is very expensive. So yes they ask a nice dollar bill for them.

I guess y'all just expect that people give leases up this way away for free an average sub lease makes 1000 to 500 profit I can't help farmers want alot. Also all my cheaper leases never hit the market they are leased from people that call me all I have left is the high end stuff. An notice that the main guide service around Dfw want or are in. The people That talk trash are the same ones that gripe about public waters, how people mess it up or hunt where there is no ducks. You don't have to hunt by any Barney you can lease a place an it's yours no one else's but you got to pay to play.

I have looked at a lot of lease in fannin and they are expensive all of them not just swampnasty. But do agree pay to play and they do have smaller leases. I'd give it a try at least 1 season if wife would give up the cash.

These farmers know what they have. They're the ones that set the prices, but they give us the power to negotiate if need be.

Hey,on a less positive note... the LEO that was shot in Saginaw down the street from my house today was at my house yesterday. I was setting in my garage he walked up and started talking to me to see if I knew Tyler(boy that shot him less than a day later)....saw the masses of duck killing gear and told me he was a big waterfowler and we talked about killin ducks for about 20 minutes. I just saw his picture on the channel 8 website, hope he comes out of this ok.
