My lab pup is 5 months old. I have done all of the training so far but as this IS my first rodeo and work and a new baby are being pretty demanding, I am looking for a trainer.

I will primarily be duck hunting with her. I am willing to travel several hours for the right trainer. Thanks guys!

There are a lot of good trainers on here, I took my lab to tim Marshall from brushy creek retrievers. Did real good with Cole, I'd recommend him...

Just a couple of questions that you need to be ready to answer from any trainer that you plan on sending your dog to. First, when will your dog be 6 months old. Most people want to take the dog when they are at least that old for formal training but that may vary.

Second, what are you looking for in your dog. Are you looking for an obedient companion? Hunting partner? Hunt test dog? Do you want a started dog or do you want the dog to be able to handle? Give all of these things a thought so that you are able to tell whoever you go with exactly what your expectations are out of your dog.

Jeff Chesnut at Washita Retrivers all the way. I bought my pup from him and then sent him back for 6 months worth of training. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the entire experience. I would not hesitate to do it all over again. I would highly recommend you visit him.

Eddie at Zion kennels is excellent!!! I sent him my dog at 6 months old and within 4 months he had his junior title. I brought him home for hunting season and he did great. I sent him back after hunting season This year to work on casting and to work on getting his masters. I am picking the dog up on Saturday and have been out there multiple times to work with Eddie and the dog and couldn't be happier. Eddie is completely honest with you weather good or bad, if the dog doesn't have it he will let you know. I would recommend him to anyone, his number is 903-640-3411 and you can pm me with any other questions !
