I was sitting on my front porch about dusk, and two does came out of the woods acting funny. They would jump and run stiff legged and running back and forth. I couldn't figure out if they were trying to get their fawns to come out of the woods or what. Finally they made a determined charge, and I saw the bobcat. I didn't have my rifle with me, and he presented a good shot. After he went back in the woods, I got my rifle and waited. There was very little light, and I put my scope down on 4 power, as low as it will go. I just put one bullet in the chamber, and didn't really expect to see the bobcat again, but lo and behold, out he came. This time he didn't stop moving, but I got lucky and knocked him down at about 125 yards with my 30-06.

It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.

Another picture of the old man and his kitty. The 30-06 just about blew the cat in two...

He's only doing what he was meant to do.

I saw a huge bobcat this weekend in Baylor County. She was just out of range of my bow. She was either pregnant or had just eaten something substantial. She looked almost round.
