friend of mine is working on this.

Any and all votes would help us here in the Tn valley to get a much needed Sandhill Crane season. The birds are more than abundant and are eating all the food for the other waterfowl on the Hiwasse refuge in Tn. Please, take a minute and vote to help us as the Anti hunting community is overpowering the vote.

I know next to nothing about the Sandhills in Tennessee, but it took me less than 5 minutes to research before deciding on a way to vote.

Nearly 85,000 sandhills in TN and most (maybe all) the biologists stating that hunting would not impact the population. In addition, TN would require hunters to take an ID course to distinguish between whooping cranes and sandhills, a closed season before and during "crane fest," and many other regulations.

The birdwatchers will still have plenty of viewing opportunities at the Wildlife Refuge, and hunting will not be allowed there.

I say take' em.

Thanks for sharing, interesting debate they have going on.

Sorry, dont wanne have government depleting my savingsaccount as they already do so well.

Man fined $85,000 for killing whooping crane, has rifle confiscated
Environmentalists applaud the sentence as appropriate, and hope it sends a message to other hunters who would target an endangered species.

Just reading the stupid comments of all the concerned "bird watchers" is enough to make me vote yes.

"Why kill, just to kill?" Beav, you need to send them your pigeon kill count lmao!!

"You can't even eat Sandhills, so why kill them?" Dumba$$ there for sure.

"We have refuges for birds and wildlife numbers to be sustained, now people want to kill them, I don't understand!!" Yep they don't understand who foots a big part of the bill for these refuges and research...... Hunting and fishing!

Before you are allowed to hunt the Sandhills you are required to take a test to be able to ID the difference between the two, so anyone who doesn't know the difference should not be able to hunt.

Just voted to take'm ! Currently 52% for a 60 day season and 44% to let them be for bird watching only. The TN boys need some ribeye in the sky.
