I wanted to find which of these muzzle devices I would like the best for keeping on target during fast semi-auto shooting.
I tested 5 devices and recorded it all and took pictures.
The targets where at 25 yards, furthest the local indoor range goes.
I tested the following; (my top 3 are numbered)
Bare muzzle
1. Bulgarian chrome lined brake from milled AK.
Hungarian AMD 65 brake
3. Tapco Slot
2. Tapco Razr
Tapco AK74 style
I shot this with my WASR GP10/63 Warsaw length wood stock and wood hand guards. Standing up.
using a KVar optic mount with a Bushnell TRS-25
Wolf 123gr FMJ, new production, non-corrosive
2 point sling, mounted at front loop and stock, I utilize the sling to get the rifle real snug in my shoulder pocket when shooting, bladed forward with a modern c clamp support hand grip.
What is your opinion after watching the videos?
I will say with a proper hold and good stance, the AK is pretty easy to shoot fast and accurate with, practice those fundamentals kids.
Bare muzzle: (massive flash and all the recoil and muzzle rise)

Bulgarian Brake: ( good brake, ok comp, decent flash hider
Tapco Slot: (good comp, but sharp recoil impulse with this one I didn't like, may have been blast)
Tapco Razr: (ok flash hider/ ok muzzle brake / ok comp
Tapco AK74 style: ( ok brake/ ok comp)
Hungarian AMD 65 brake: (ok brake/flash and noise/muzzle blast enhancer)
I am going to test out the Razr, Slot and Bulgarian some more and at night when I can, as I like how they affected the muzzle.
Thanks
