First off just want to say I'm by no means a "shooter" I have a ton to learn. That being said going into this training I've been shooting guns since I was about 8 years old with no formal training. Target shooting and hunting is pretty much all I've ever done. When I say target shooting I mean setting up a target and sending several rounds down range. I've never actually practiced defensive shooting.

With that out of the way on to the review.

This class is introductory to pistol carbines. I figured since I have been shooting these types of weapons for years I would be a little above the curve. Needless to say I had been shooting wrong all these years. Steve taught us so much in the first 30 minutes I was in awe. He first taught us different stances and things. Then had us tell him how we shot. He individually talked with all us on what to do and not to do. What we were doing right and what we could work on.

This is not a class where you just go and blow 300 rounds down range in an hour and go home. I shot less than 50 rounds out of my pistol and 80 rounds out of my carbine. Yet I learned so much. With just the few tweaks Steve asked me to do with my stance and holds on my guns I was putting rounds on target very accurately and very quickly.

We worked on reloads in the pistol and reloads in the carbine which was one of my weak points before the training. After the training I felt like I was a competition shooter. Lol I know I'm not that fast, but after learning the correct techniques it felt like second nature.

After all the different things we did, we put them all together. Steve would take our rifle and pistol mags and put a number of rounds in each which we didn't know. He would then load our guns and let us go through the 4 target course. It was fun to watch the others and see how they reacted to each thing. I went first so I didn't know what to expect lol. My first run was flawless except I put 4 shots on one target instead of 2. Oh well target was definitely down. I think that was the funnest part of the training for sure, but I had a blast through the entire thing.

Steve was very professional and very safe. He had very good range rules. We only had 3 guys plus Steve there, but I felt very safe. There was no sweeping of barrels or anything like that.

Steve thanks for having us out we had a freakin blast man. Can't wait until the more advanced class.. We will be coming to wreak havoc on some card board. Very good training at a very good price.

Hope I got everything I'm sure I missed something though. Lol.
