If you had cows and pigs how tall would you get the panels? And wouldnt the number of deer you had showing up determine the number of panels you would use?

36" hog panels have done fine keeping the hogs & cattle out at my place.

I've switched to cattle panels that are 48" tall. I could get them $4 cheaper per panel ($19.99 vs $23.99 for hog panels). I think I'll cut a few panels on each pen down to 36".

Tractor Supply gives 5% off if you buy 50.

Sounds like you are using cattle panel.

I just finished building a pen around my feeder. I used 12 16 ft. panels. Took about a week for the deer to get used to it but they are all over it now. Looking forward to the upcoming season.

Hog panel is 34"...

http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/feedlot-panel-hog-16-ft-l-x-34-in-h

One of the differences is that hog panel has 5 of the small sections at the bottom while cattle panel which is actually 50" has only 2.

The cattle panel, while taller, is cheaper because it actually has less metal product in it and is more costly (slightly) to manufacture.
