When I used to check old pics to compare bucks from year to year it was the browtines that were the key. Any kickers this year were a bump or small kicker last year for the most part. This is when a color TC is worth it for night pics.

I just had 2 last year with brows shaped like that...only prob is by the time I got pics of them one had broken a brow off & the other had broken its MB right past the brow on one side.

Shape of the beams will show you a lot on some deer also.

Yep I would agree with the webbing of the points, brows, beam shape and weaker G4's. Age looks right as 2 last year and 3 this year. If the brows are bladed and angled inward this year it will be him for sure. He had the look last year of a buck that had potential to grow into something really good. Keep getting rain and he stays home for 2 more years you will have you a great buck.

Liked him for the potential points he was showing last year, but wasn't too fond of those beams.

I've seen 170 class 5x5 with 19" beams and 16" inside spread, but he had a boat load of mass and tine length.

Well if you put it that way I will take him in 2 yrs.  Just put my name on him and whatever he does he is mine, no if ands or buts about him.  Just getting this out of the way so you don't waffle on him next year.
