So I have always used and been fond of Cuddeback cameras until the last couple years. I think the customer service and quality has dipped a tad but it is still an above average trail camera. I bought a Reconyx HC 600 recently due to a great deal off MSRP price and I am curious to how it functions vs the Cuddeback Attack IR & Ambush IR.
I was wondering if any members here have experience with the Reconyx IR trail cameras and are they really worth double the price of the Cuddeback, Recon, Moultrie, Bushnell, Leupold, Primos & Stealthcam IR cameras? Thanks for any experience you can share.

I have 2. Where did you find one at a great deal off MSRP price?
What I noticed different between the Reconyx and others (Scoutguard, Primos, WGI, etc.) is:
1) long battery life 2) extremely fast trigger speed (nothing approaches it) 3) fewer false positives (it requires both heat and motion to trigger. 4) very responsive (and reachable) customer service if you have questions.
The ONLY drawback I've had is the fear of getting stolen. They aren't cheap.
Do let me know where you found a discounted price.

I found it on Ebay. I am worried about having them stolen too. I guess it depends on the land you hunt. I am putting a 4x4 post in a 24 inch deep hole, then fill with concrete. Next going to drill the security box to the 4x4 post. And lock the security box. 10 gauge steel.

I have at least half a dozen and IMO they are absolutely the best game cam on the market. $450 isn't bad if you consider how long they last. I have three that are going on five years of continuous use.....100s of thousands of pics and still going strong. So far (knock on wood) I've never had one fail.

$450 is a smoking deal on a brand new HC 600 that has the updated LED array lens. $455 was my best find and the other 600's I bought were $460-$485
I do have only 1 HC500 because it was brand new for $315 shipped on Ebay. I could not resist!
