Can anyone tell me if Game Ranches are accepting crossbow hunters? Its been a few years since the law changed allowing crossbows during archery season. I thought given time peoples attitudes towards crossbows may have softened.

Some are and some are not allowing them during archery season. Just depends on the ranch

I know some do. Buddy of mine shot a huge buck on one last year with a crossbow. They found blood but never found the deer. They still charged him full price for the deer even though it was not recovered!!

Most ranches do allow CB's now days. I took a huge BB early this year with one myself. Edit --- my great spelling.

Behind a high fence, rifle season starts on October 1 and continues till the end of February. I doubt they would care what you shot one with as long as it was legal.

HF land does not allow you to set your own seasons for hunting. You still have to follow TPWD rules and regs for your county. If you own any land that is LF or HF you have to get a MLDP III to get the extended seasons, then you can hunt with the weapon you choose.
