All I know is we should have expanded background checks. It's stupid that a bunch of rednecks worried about the government taking their guns won't support an expanded check, which obviously would have prevented this burglar from possessing a firearm.

No center mass or head shots... Thank goodness! Now we can pay for the burglar's hospital bill, housing, and living expenses for a while. At least until he gets released. Hopefully we can pass some expanded background legislation before then, so that he can't get another gun.

And why in the heck did that homeowner even have a gun?!?! Doesn't he know owning a gun increases the likelihood that he or his family will be shot?

All I know is that us regular folk don't have the capacity to make decisions on how to protect ourselves, and our families. Only law enforcement officers and military should have guns.

Unless you hunt. Nothing wrong with a hunting rifle, as long as it is locked up 100% of the time you aren't hunting... In fact, the government should set up "gun banks", so you can keep your guns there when not hunting.

Unfortunately, people are still allowed to have guns. That's why we have to do everything we can to limit their ability in every possible way. Does your state have open carry? Work to make it illegal. Concealed carry? Work to make it so difficult to obtain a license that nobody can get one. Maybe you are lucky and already live in a state where these tasks have been accomplished. Limit the magazine (sorry, I meant clip) capacity. If you've already limited capacity, have you considered making guns that accept magazines illegal? Make it illegal to sell your neighbor a gun without a background check. Then work to make the background check impossible to get.

As each of these events happen, we will make law abiding citizens guns illegal. Not all at once, but little by little. Right underneath their noses!

Come on guys, we can do it! While the wackos are spouting off about "gun confiscation", we can get the other gun owners, who don't even realize they are wackos (only wackos would want a gun!!! Except law enforcement and military. They need them to do their job!), to ostracize the first wackos, by calling them tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists, and telling them gun confiscation is never going to happen. That if guns were going to be confiscated, the government couldn't pull it off, because the gun owners would UNITE, and keep our guns! And when the wackos start pointing out all of the guns being confiscated, the regular gun owners will dismiss them, believing the only guns being confiscated are the guns of the law breakers, and wackos.

Then, we go after the "regular" gun owners. The hunters, the sport shooters. And they won't be able to UNITE, because they will be the only gun owners left. And by that time, THEY will be the wackos with guns.

Good plan, eh? It's in full effect baby, and I'm going to work to push it along! Who's with me?!?!

Step one: LEO

Only LEO and military should have guns. Why? Because they are better than us. Whether it is their training, experience, superiority as humans, or a combination of all three, if someone is LEO, they are obviously more equipped mentally, emotionally, and physically to handle firearms properly and responsibly.

Regular people are not equipped to handle firearms properly and responsibly. So anytime any regular person makes a mistake, we must punish them to the fullest extent of the law! If a regular person does anything evil with a weapon, we must do the same... Provided they don't get killed in the process of their crime. Either way, we must use these events to show that regular folk should not have guns, as they are a danger to themselves, even if they don't know it.

LEO, on the other hand, are so well equipped to handle firearms properly and responsibly, that if they make a mistake, we must recognize it as a mistake, and give them leeway. After all, they carry firearms for a living! How can you not expect a mistake to happen? We must also hide any mistakes made by LEO, as we do NOT want to allow the regular folk to start thinking that LEO are also regular folk! Because some regular folk are crazy enough to believe that!

None of us should! That's why I traded all of them to The First Presbyterian Church of Dallas gun buyback for some grocery store gift cards. Dang, that homeowner should have practiced more. Economically, it's cheaper for the county to give a free burial than free hospital care. Nothing personal, just looking at the economic side of things.
