So I'm happy to post one up from this weekend. I know its a equipment and methods area, but hey, check out how this bow method works wink

A little story: Been hunting axis for the past year and half. I keep getting busted, either don't see anything or shot isn't right. This weekend I figured if I saw anything with spots it was going down. I had about 15 WT at the feeder and they stopped and gave this horrific look behind me in the tree. I knew it was him. I'm very stoked, this is my first axis. Double lung shot with my Bow-Tech Guardian. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

hammer I forgot to mention I was born without a face. haha. Seriously though...worst buck fever I've ever had; and this is by far not my first animal (many rifle kills). 6th animal I've taken archery, 3rd I've taken with a compound bow.

It was one of those days where I just was lucky enough to criss when he crossed.

- my hat is getting a little old and abused...

On another note, I'm sure this is the wrong place to start with this but I'll move if I have to. Apparently that velvet will be a bugger to euro mount. Anyone know of any freeze drying here in texas to take care of the velvet? I'm a poor college student so I'm in need if the cheapest alternative while doing my best to preserve the beast.

Bow kills are cool. Traditional bow kills are bad azz.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

My 15 year old took these two sows this past weekend in Baylor County. Two minutes between kills.

NAP Bloodrunner on one and NAP Hellrazor on the other. Great blood trail with the Bloodrunner.

Mathews Z7 Bow for Whitetail and Hogs
Remington R-15 .223 REM for predators
I also like to "hunt" sporting clays with my Benelli SuperSport!
