Me. When the SHTF back in December, I ordered lots of stuff. Put a few lowers on back order, a few uppers. Things got uglier up here in Colorado with our new dumb, unenforceable laws. I bought more stuff.
My view was, I'd keep what I wanted, and profit on what I didn't need. Then I wanted to take my 7 year old daughter out to shoot .22s, I have plenty of shells, but I didn't want to shoot them all up. And I can't buy them, as you all know, and people are profiteering on what they can buy. That made me mad. Those damn profiteers. Oops, that's what I was going to do...(mental smack!)
I decided to not be quite as big of a hypocrite as I usually am, and I put together a M4A3 out of my parts, met a buddy for lunch (who REALLY wants an AR15, but won't pay dumb prices for one), and I showed it to him. He was all cool, "Nice gun, man I can't wait to be able to get one of those"...I said, "That one's going home with you." He thought I was joking, he protested a bit, but I was solid on it. No strings, no joke, He'll enjoy it.
Next to getting married and having kids, one of the coolest experiences I've had. I'm pretty sure he's still spinning in his head about the whole deal...

I've met some great folks up in Colorado and you sound just like the good folks I know up there. I can't wait to be back there in Nov. for mule deer season!

I didn't share for praise, I shared because I wanted to share the cool experience of the reward of giving. It doesn't have to be huge, in this case it just worked.
Giving is not in my nature, it's a learning thing, so I thought I'd go big and see what happened. Worth it...every bit. The guy I gave it to is ten times the man I am, and it was an honor to do it!

I got drawn for late season 99 this year and can't wait to get up there. And that was an awesome act of kindness.
