Im coming home from college next week and really want to take out some varmints this summer. (hogs, coyotes, coons, rabbits) with finals coming up i havent had a chance to do any research on these lights and was hoping thf could help me out. Ive heard that you need different colors of lights for different animals so if i could get any help with that. Im looking for a light with good range and good battery life. Im looking to spend around 100 but maybe more for a really good light. I want something durable and something i can rely on. Any help is appreciated and if there is any thing eles i will need for the light please help me out.

The VRL-1, Wicked Light 400, NITEHUNT, and XLR-250 will all get the job done about equally, IMHO. Check out each web-site. Pick the features and mounts you want, and order. You can get each in red, green, or white. Some kits come with both red and green LED's

Get an EWT Xl 250 in green package and you will never have to look back. Great light with different mounting options included. As with many other thf members, I am a very satisfied customer in there product a d there warrenty Dept as well. Have heard of some having issues with the wired remote switch, just dont twist the wire on the cap and will have no issues. Even if you do have a problem, they will stand behind it and repair or replace it. Like I said, treat it right and you will have no issues. Great product.

I went with a cheap light from Harbor Freight, on sale right now of $11. http://www.harborfreight.com/one-million-candlepower-rechargeable-cordless-spotlight-69286.html

Actually we had 4 of them for about a year with no problems, Used and abused and they keep working. Keep one on the charger all of the time, others ready to use.
