This guy is likely to be the next POTUS. With his history of being anti-gun I'm truly worried about the possibility of frank gun confiscations. They happened with assault weapons in California a few years ago. Your opinions please.

I will be buying a couple more pistols and an AR-15 before he is sworn in since an Obama election and a democratic senate means more and more guns are going to be banned. You think the assault weapons ban was bad but this will be much worse.

I agree. High capacity pistols could be banned. The so called assault weapons will be gone as well. I'll be looking for significant ammunition taxes as well. This was proposed by Senator Moynihan during the Clinton years.

They do it for political capital. Remember Obama is from Chicago, a city and state that is famous for gun control. Look at its mayor, William Daly, a prominent anti-gunner.

I doubt anyone on this board believes that, but that doesn't mean that some liberals haven't been brainwashed into thinking that if you make guns illegal, gun crime will go away.

Indeed...known for its' gun control yet maintains one of the highest gun-crime rates in the nation. Not unlike D.C. which boasts an unhealthy number of handgun murders even during the years of the all-out handgun ban.

I have two guns that the government knows about. Any others, IF I HAVE ANY, will be, well let's just say I'll always have guns.

And I keep enough components in stock to reload at least 500 rounds for every gun I own, and even those I don't own.

I am curious about one thing though?
I know we have a few people on this board involved in law enforcement. And, I assume, that being a member here you also believe in our second amendment rights? The question is.......What would you do if you reported to work one day and were instructed to start confiscating guns from the general public???????? And what, do you feel, that most of your colleagues would do???????

Obama can't have the ideal Marxist/Stalinist state if people have guns! What else needs saying?

I agree, with OBAMA & BIDEN in there and George SOROS pulling their strings we're gonna have one rough ride. While you may not like the NRA they have fact checked them from front to back and top to bottom, and vote the antigunner BS ers out of office.

You already have a model, the California assault weapon confiscation program.

I don't have any, but if I did, which I don't, would not be registered anywhere, if I did, but since I don't, I don't know anyone who does, but if I did.....

I agree with signing up for the NRA, I know most don't like the emails or letters asking for more money but you don't have to send money, just your initial membership helps out. They are a great voice for gun owners and you have to give them prop's for staying on top of future gun bans.
They have more of voice then we do as individuals so why not join forces and make that one voice a little louder.

Make sure you educate our youth and give them the facts about all issues that they will be voting on this year. I am amazed at what my daughter tells me when she comes home from school. The media,Hollywood and music industry is already for Obama and from what she is telling me so are a lot of teachers.
Is McCain the right answer, time will tell, but I can tell you right now that Obama is and never will be the right answer.

With the failing economy I think everyone should get ready for the worse case scenario. Looks like Obama is getting quite a lead in the polls.

I'm not so worried about certain guns being banned. I see a much easier course for the opponents of ours being to impose prohibitively high taxes on the ammo and reloading supplies being sold over the counter. Maybe I'm thinking too far outside the box here but I just don't see the gov't winning straight up on this issue. IF they win, I see them selling it on some morality issue that's easy to baffle ingnorant, powerful, and disconnected from the average man's life, people with more money than common sense. That's my 2 cents.

Why are these people so against honest hard working people having guns for hunting and home defense? We are not the ones who commit crimes with firearms or anything else on a large scale like some of their inner city constiuents.

This is the reason. Although, I would change the name "Obama" to include all the other vultures around him and under his thumb.
