I was just at Bass Pro in San Antonio at The Rim they've got a hefty collection of gear there and about 2 dozen acrylic calls in a wood case. I was drooling over the rnt's stationed next to all the banded, and zinks and began spinning the lock at the top. Glass came right down and almost slapped me on my head. I had opened the case with a spin of the lock without a key. Staring a $3k in the most beautiful calls. I begun to twiddle with the bottom lock, it swung open too and all the display call boxes and boxed calls are there. I bet I was looking at 10k in duck calls. Oh the urge! I closed both and cried as I walked away and had no calls to fiddle with. The case itself.

I'm thinking of getting an acrylic call. Just haven't decided which one I'd like.

Have heard good things about Cadence and quack shack, but currently have no need for another call with a daisy cutter and a meat hanger on my laynard.
Last season I got a haydell timber cutter as a gift. I have been playing with it and honestly it is a great little call that only costs around 40 bucks. It sounds like a real hen mallard.

You don't have to need a new call to buy a new call. My lanyard will only hold 2 but I have a shelf that will hold a bunch.

It has good range, lots of hold, very ducky and smooth running. Does not take much air, it can run soft or you can get on it hard. Has that nasty nasally boss hen duck sound.

Sticking to my Daisy Cutter. Bought a quackshack last year and enjoyed it but just never gets used when I have my daisy cutter. With that said my quackshack is in the trading post

I already have $2000 in it now and I have not even spun the lathe other than a piece of scrap pine.

I could own a hundred dozen decoys for what I've spent to carve 4, but they wouldn't be any fun to use. Go after it Wayne.
