What are your thoughts and opinions on this .380?

I'm considering getting one but I'm not completely sold on it yet?

How easy is it to conceal?

It's a fairly large, heavy pistol for its caliber and capacity. 8 rds of .380. Almost 7" long and 5" tall- for the same size and money you could do much better in terms of capacity and power. I would recommend looking at something more along the lines of a Glock 26, Kahr CW9, Springfield XDS, etc.

If you are sold on the .380 you might look at the Ruger LC380. Smaller and thinner with the same capacity.

If you are absolutely sold on that pistol it wouldn't be terribly difficult to conceal, they are very well made, and awesome shooters.

They are nice pistols. Fairly large and heavy. They aren't usually too cheap either. I would like to own one but for CC they are better options.

For the size and weight you're are going to get out of that I would go with a mid size larger caliber or go smaller like a pocket pistol.

The Cheetah is just too big for me to want to carry as a CCW.

It is a single stack Mod 84. Same size/weight, reduced capacity.
Never saw a reason for one. The 84 and the Browning BDA380 are some excellent pictols.
The Bersa Thunder Plus is an equal capacity, 13/14, 380acp.

Don't forget to explore Sigs.
The 232 and 238 are good .380 offerings. (you might look at 9mm p938's as well, they are practically the same size as the 238's)

I have a 238 that I really like. The 232 has a fixed barrel and may be a bit more accurate, but I couldn't confirm the difference at mission critical self defense ranges.

The older 85's are real pretty guns but its hard to justify a 380 these days. Slap a Carhart jacket around a sand bag, shoot it, and see how you feel about it.

Then do the same thing with a CCI stinger 22LR from a handgun.

I have an old carhartt. I'll give this a try while out in the Panhandle. I've read a post [ http://forums.outdoorsdirectory.com/show...ll=1#post726730 ] where a guy shot 12 .380 Golden Sabers at a Carhartt plus denim all wrapped around a metal gas can full of water. All penetrated and had full expansion, according to the poster.

I consider my 238 a backup/summer gun, so this scenario would be long odds, but I do have a donor jacket, and I am very curious to try it out with several .380 SD bullet types.
For penetration through really heavy garments, I prefer a .357sig. or the like.

If you want a good looking .380 and enjoy shooting that pistol at the range it is a great buy. They fit great in your hand and are fun to shoot.

If you are looking for a CW, I would check out the Sig P380s or the Ruger LCPs

I believe in using what you got. The main reason I can't justify a 380 s because there are small nines out there. When I carried a 380, I was just as satisfied with FMJ.
