I picked up an Eotech XPS2 off another board at a decent price. Now I see why. Its completely useless in daytime and not much use in low light except on the highest settings.

My 512 was highly visible even under a bright TX sun. My TruGlo red dot is 10 times brighter than this thing.

Is this a flaw in the smaller sight?

Send it back to L3/Eoturd, they have an average product but better than average customer service. I've seen quite a few through our agency that the brightness level wasn't what it should be and they fixed them.

Well said. I only have one Eoturd now and only because it's issued. I have three Aimpoint T1's, the oldest is about five and a half years old. I change the battery every four years whether it needs it or not. I never turn them off and they are usually set at level 8.

Yea I only have a comp C4 for about 2-3 years now. Bought it used and its been on level 4 over night vision since. Still hadn't had to replace the battery. I love it but wish I had a H1/T1 for the compactness. You should trade me one of those T1's smile
