I would call that a normal price, not really a ''good deal''.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

There are a lot of models of 10/22, so pricing is tough unless you are saying which model you are looking at.

So what's the difference between $319 and $199?

1. Are you guys finding the 10/22 at academy and Walmart?
2. Are there any big differences in the 10/22 models besides composite and wood?
The 10/22 I was looking at was composite wood not sure the exact model

I haven't seen them at Academy, but I only go to one of the stores. They have had the Remington 597 in stock but I honestly haven't seen many 22s there at all. I haven't been back in about a week and a half so that could have changed.

What walmart carries guns? The ones I've been to around Austin do not. Dicks Sporting Goods has a 10/22 stainless for $279 in their website. Thanks!

Think you just answered your own question, you shopping at Walmarts around the most socialist town in Texas, I suggest you move.

Well, technically I'm outside the Round Rock city limits, but I guess it's not enough... As much as I'd like to move, not the time just yet. Oh well, guess I'll have to look around. If you don't mind me asking, what general area are you in? Would Waco or Temple area Walmarts be far enough from Austin to be 'safe' from its evil? I just don't want to drive 150 miles to buy a $200 rifle. Will cost me the same in gas. Thanks!
