I have a ranger that I want to put a 50LB low profile road feeder on the back of. I'm currently looking at All Seasons, Lamco and T-hangers. Thoughts and comments ? Thank you.

I have used All Season with the old style gates and the new elimantor spinner plates for years with great luck. I currently have a homemade feeder on my Ranger though. I would get the one that has the eliminator style spinner plate though.

I've been having my All-Seasons for quite a few years now, never a problem. Guys on the leases around me all have them too.

Only problem I've had was with the paint on the Hercules model, but I think they may have corrected that problem now.

Boarover, I'd say the Everlast from Academy maybe 5+ years ago, but now they charge a separate $30-$40 for the hitch attachment when that used to be included. Also, I noticed with the new rotary type slinger and flow restrictor plate, it is prone to clog ups. I'd probably go with the All Seasons.

I have the Texas Hunters road feeder. My ranger has a cab and the wireless would not work with the feeder mounted on the back of the ranger. I use the hercules feeder and It is the best I have used for a road feeder. I like it better than the Allseasons too.

Dgilbert, does yours clog up at all? I bought my last year with the hangers and it seems to clog up, especially if I slide the bottom flow plate to fully open.

I ran power to both the front and back of my ranger. I installed a switch to control each one. This way I can turn my road feeder on by the switch and when I'm using my tank sprayer I can turn my boom on and of by the switch. I also have installed a backup light that I use when not using the sprayer. I use my road feeder on the front of my machine and love it but it is a home made design.

I do not like a feeder on the front. I hate eating corn dust and having it clog up my radiator. I have mine hardwired into the dash also so I do not have to fight wires. On a Mule I drove for 6 yrs I had 3 switches for extra lights for backup, tail gate feeder and inside lights.

Mine never has, was it because of dirty corn, I don't see how with that big opening powerful motor.

I just hook mine on the back tailgate, I do have to use a bungie cord to keep it from bouncing around.

The best road feeder bar none to me is the Lamco Low Profile!

You can put it on the back of your ranger/truck with the receiver hitch riser and it allows you to still be able open your tailgate without removing it and the motor is internal which goes along way for reliability and by using the receiver hitch riser it gives your ranger tailgate additional support when loading an animal or something else heavy in the bed!

It also has a spring loaded thrower that keeps the corn from spilling out while just driving around and there's no door to adjust for feed rate.

I was using a road feeder previous to that that had the spin-tech spinner plate and it worked good but I was feeding a heck of alot more corn than I needed to and when I switched over to the lamco low profile feeder, I saved a whole lot of money with the same results!!!

GREAT PRODUCT!!
