I heard he was just real busy with his company. It gets real slow in here off season. Heck that is the only reason I poke a stick at someone every now and again, just to break up the slow grind of the off season.

I talked to Rob recently. He is fine. Wonder has posted in other forums on the web in the last month or two. He is off doing other hobbies, but like clockwork, when duck season gets close, I am sure he will be back to share his topwater wonder wit with us as always.

Hey wonder good to see you around! You shoot any ducks last year? I figured Rob was mad at the duck gods for no water on Texoma.

I was in Rob's garage this morning. Crazy bass turd was cutting all the zip ties off of his Sneakboat. Replacing them with brown Hog rings. We are talking about 1000's of them. I think he told me four times in an hour that the teal limit went up to six. Then we would start chanting and some kind of Indian dance. He ain't right in the head but then he never was.

Truth is, it was the worst duck season harvest of my life.
I've never seen such a lack of water and lack of ducks as last season. I remember seeing the cover of Wildfowl magazine last year.....Headline was: "Year of the Duck" or something like that.....don't they feel stupid.

Zero water and Zero mallards showed up. We kilt a few Woodies on the creek that runs thru our property because they hang around here all year I expect and that was about it.

Now the hands I know that hunted ponds and private lakes kilt a few trash ducks, but public was terrible.

I was very discouraged to say the least, but hope springs for next season......Even lookin at a new boat. banana
