I am a first time pistol buyer and I decided on the newest generation of the Glock 19. I am a lefty so I like the ambidextrous mag release. I have been doing some price searches and was wondering what a fair price for this pistol would be?
Also, what would be the best defense rounds/hog rounds for when I am walking to and from the bow blind?

I see $594 on budsgunshop they normally have the best prices with free shipping. Although it is a VIP item and you will have to pay FFL fee, so you are looking at around $650ish

check out slick guns. They usually have some good deals w/ shipping. Winchester pdx makes good defensive rounds for 9mm

Speer Gold Dot is what I would carry. For Hogs you might think about stacking an fmj every other round.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have a local dealer that will charge $639.00 retail price. If it's only a matter of about $10 difference that doesn't sound too bad.

you can definitely find a better price online. I wouldn't even entertain paying $639 for a glock even a gen 4

Have seen price at Academy around 560.00. But you need to visit often to grab the one shown up. My FFL will charge $40.00 transfer fee, so the online purchase turned out not worth it for me. YMMV.

Check out the gun shows... I found 4-5 glock 19s for $550 at the highest with $515 being the lowest this weekend. I also picked up a gen 4 35 for $595 and a Gen 4 21 for $559. Good deals are out there... Just have to look hard.
