I just picked up a S&W model 29-3 nickel 4 inch barrel in about 85-90% condition has been used but not abused.. Factory wood grip.. I tried researching it and read sonething about screws but couldn't figure all that mess out.
My buddy said sonething about it being a combat model or sonething like that:.
Anyways all help is much appreciated.. Not really looking to sell at the moment just looking for a value..
Thanks THF

You can check Gunbroker. I had been shopping for one. Most go for $650-$850. Some guys are asking $1000+ but I dont think they are selling.

The -3 came out in the early 80's, maybe 1982. This is the start of dropping features like pinned barrels. I've shot a few and what I noticed most is finish. No one mass produces a finish like Smith and Colt did, which is why those old guns in 95% bring the prices they do. To answer your question, in an honest 90% I'd go as high as $750. Enjoy it and don't worry about it. It's yours and that is what matters.
