My hunts went great... took 10mins. Still waiting on landowner drawing to see if I got any tags. If I didn't then might shoot one of those pesky weed seed spreading, wheat lawn mowers with my bow.

They arnt expensive if you go to the right people! i am planning on buying several permits this year from our neighbors and such and may either trade the hunts or turn around and sell them i will just have to see how many permits our neighbors get as the summer goes on i only have 1 hunt traded for this upcoming season so far!

Gonna pass this year. Been in 2011 and 2012 in SE Co on private land with drawn tags. Maybe Wyo next year as I have enough points to get it done. Colorado 2011:

I am too old and crippled up now to hunt them anymore. So I just look for them as we travel through New Mexico, usually see a few around Tatum more on the west side of Tatum than the east side.

Those were on my old Midland County ranch. These boys ended up taking a liking to me, and I actually kinda miss them. I could go get in that stand and they would just chill there. Granted, it was the only shade for miles and miles, particularly after the wildfires whiped out the area.
TXPW biologist's anna-lise scoggin even did a study on then. Pretty funny, she would sit up on the hill in the middle of the ranch and watch them all day till they pooped, run out there and collect it and take off back to the office.
She was looking for some parasite that is apparently killing allot of west texas pronghorn. My little herd was clean thank goodness.
Btw, once these speed-goats figure out that my old lil red f150 was their source of food and water, they'd follow me around the ranch like puppy-dogs.
Pretty cool until your walking to the stand in pitch black, hear something odd behind and flip around to see 4-5 of these guys about 20 ft behind you.

Never ate it myself, but a former roommate swore antelope was better than white-tailed deer. However, also I've heard that at least some of them had an off taste from eating so much sagebrush. I'd love the chance to make a determination for myself.
Deer quality is not measured by antler size

Throw it in a cooler, open the drain and keep ice on it for a couple days and it will taste great. Pronghorn actually on of my favorite when cooked right.
