In answer to some of your questions; they hold up very well against scratches I drive mine through the mesquite trees all the time and it holds up well. It will fade over time but if they use a good UV laminate on the top it should easily last 5-7 years. When it does start to fade you can peal it off and the factory paint underneath will be in good shape.
The problem with going to a spray on liner is 3 fold. Fist they are not smooth and although you wouldn't think it that adds a ton of drag to your vehicle which decreases your fuel mileage. Second they add a bunch of weight to the vehicle which also effects fuel mileage and stability in turns. Third once it is sprayed it is sprayed if you decided to sell the vehicle you can't peel it off and have the factory paint.

Impressions are what they are but yes. And the blacked out rims and tires just add to it as do leveling kits etc.

So I guess you don't use camo on your deer blinds, rifle/bow, binos, or wear camo clothing either since they all scream for attention? Many folks do hunt from their vehicles in many areas of the state.

...if you are driving whatever game you are hunting will hear you before they see you anyway and if its camo or neon yellow I don't see much of a difference.
