Tried to call East to come get him... But he was too busy catching perch to come get this guy. So I just turned him loose in the tall grass... He was in the driveway when my daughter walked outside last night.. She came in and said "daddy, there's a little non venomous snake in the driveway. Do you want to catch it or want me to kill it"? grin

Snakes seem to be a hot topic this year.

knock on wood--- this is the first one we've seen this year. With a rat terrier running around, he might be keeping them at bay anyway.

We've seen corals, and copperheads in years past in the the area.. Copperheads do not typically fare as well as this little guy did. grin

Some of the banded kings bring a pretty penny for their size. Neat looking snakes up

Thank god EAST stayed at home. There would have been a post "Snakecatching 101" with a death grip on the little guy. By the way when I signed up for this forum East used to post pics of girlies he was partying with. Now he has moved on to catfish

I can already see that this is going to get out of hand. Must be something to do with humidity and heat.

I've never seen one of those. I have seen several Coral snakes. I'm sure this guy gets mistaken for a Coral all the time.

Nope. A milk snake is a king snake but a king snake is not a milk snake.
