Those are beautiful, wish I could see one in the wild.

The one snake I've never seen in the wild. If it was near people, then good riddance. I never kill snakes in the wild unless they pose some concern with humans.

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on.
I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

Heh they're all over at the place used to live near Matagorda Bay. Rarely near the house though. That or just never saw them there. Copperheads.... Those were all over near the house.

"Red on black, you're OK jack. Red on yellow, you're a dead fellow." An old saying about snakes with colored bans. grin

Dealt with this last year....I hate snakes, and this was outside right off my back porch in town.

They really are beautiful snakes, but I'd rather just see pictures of them

They're all dead. Take a picture of a live one.

Only poisonous Texas snake I've never put my hands on. I'd love to catch one just to say I did and round out my venomous collection. I've kept the cottonmouth, copperhead, and diamondback at some point throughout my years but never been in coral snake territory. Great pic.

Not too clear, but it's alive. Down by the Brazos, the section bout an hour south of Houston. No, I didn't kill it. He was just lazily slithering along while I was fishing and not bothering anything. :p

I'll try to find the original image for higher res and close up, but that laptop died...
