McKinney store today had 50 round boxes of .22LR for $2.00. Steel case .223 for $5.99 and brass .223 for $8.99
Thru this entire mess they have not jacked their prices.

Pretty much the same here... when they have it
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

We could only hope, it's my understanding he is not a real upstanding fellow anyway. Academy here has over 1000rds on the shelf no one is buying despite normal pricing. Now if they could only get some pistol ammo in...

Ya I grabbed a box of .45 the other day thinking it would be about $40. There wasn't a label below it and went to check out and it was $50. Felt a little taken for a bit. My bad for not asking. A while back they had some .22 that was way over priced but most other stuff was about on.

Academy in Lewisville is great. I shop there 3 days a week (close to work) and have accumilated a ton of ammo...3 boxes at a time. Prices are fair enough too.

They usually have the best prices on guns too. Got an XDS and a XD .45 about a month ago and they hadn't jacked up the prices. Maybe not the best selection but if it is something they carry I start there first.

Should take some picture and shoot them an email to see if it gets fixed. Academy's prices are all computerized, and are set by Corporate in Katy, TX. Cashiers can over-ride to correct or mark down, but they cannot raise prices. Prices cannot be changed permanently by the individual store. Price changes and shelf tags for pricing are sent to the stores from Corporate. Academy may have bought some really high priced ammo so that they would have it on the shelf. And they are just passing the cost along. The big boys sometimes have to pay inflated prices if they want the product!

I am also coming to truly respect Academy and their policies toward ammo and gun purchases. They limit the number of boxes of ammo so that more customers have the opportunity to purchase and thus shoot. They also limit the number of handguns and "AR type" weapons a person can purchase. It helps to keep "carpetbaggers" from grabbing all of the Glocks and trying to sell them in the parking lot. As a side, their sales racks are sometimes awesome. I grabbed a couple of very nice Under Armor golf shirts for $15 just the other day. My only problem with Academy is that I will often go in for a particular item and come out with a whole lot more.

The one in arlington is still pretty wiped out ammo wise. They had .308 at $2/rd in various manufacturers. 22lr and .223 is still missing. No 40, 45acp or 9 either. Missing most 2xx rounds. Plenty of shot though. Counted 7 black guns on the shelf and their handguns are starting to put some meat on. For comparison, at the height of all the nonsense they had a meager 10 pistols at one point, now they at least have 4-6 in each case again.
Several sigs to be had, 2 p250's, a 938, 2 226's, couple glocks, tuarus'. They still have the ammo limit in place though.

The 40 and 9 usually sales the day its in stock. I grabbed a box of 9mm last week and there were 3 left on the Customer Service counter, got to the truck and thought I should get a couple more.... it was gone when I got back in. Last week the had 19 boxes of 40, lots of 308 The one in arlington is still pretty wiped out ammo wise. They had .308 at $2/rd in various manufacturers. 22lr and .223 is still missing. I agree that these stores should not jack up the price. Any time the demand is greater then the supply this will happen. I have been telling people for 2 years that this was going to happen. Now they are begging me for ammo & can you guess what I told them!!!

Academy is getting sneaky. They had .40 at the CS shelf on Saturday. .38 SPL was back with the shotgun/rifle ammo by the gun counter. IIRC it was Blazer ammo. $17.99 - 50 round box.

I have had decent luck at Academy. I'm sitting on a good pile of 40,44mag,380, and 12ga buck and bird. I was fortunate enough to have a few thousand rounds of pre obama 22lr (some pre clinton)
I hit gold at a Walmart last week and picked up 300rds of WWB 40s&w at 37 cents a round. I could have kissed that heavy-set gal at the counter, but I restrained myself, barely.
