Check out Superior and Champion. I bought a Superior Supreme 35 a couple years sgo and it's one of the nicest and best built safes for the money. Weighs 1250 empty and is plenty stout. It's so nice that the wife even allowed it to be put in our bedroom. Get the dial lock.

Any other suggestions other than Academy or Tractor supply for something midsized, i.e. 25-36 gun capacity? I need to add another safe to the collection. Tractor Supply has a Winchester for $550, but Academy has a 36 gun Sentry for $800 (on sale right now). I've checked Sams, Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. TS and Academy are the best thing going. Any other places I'm missing?

You might consider buying a Texas safe made by Texans right here in Texas. Security Products is located in McLennan County between West and Waco. I bought mine around 1980--so they're not a fly-by-night company--and have had zero problems.
