I'd like to upgrade the trigger on my CMMG AR15. Any suggestions on a good trigger? I was thinking about getting the 2 stage trigger off of the CMMG website.

The JP is a great trigger, I have one, it's a single stage trigger, which I prefer. Single stage vs two stage is a matter of preference. My JP was fitted by a gunsmith so I can't speak about the difficulty of installation.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

http://www.cmctriggers.com/Tech.htmlI did this and am very happy with it. I did the work myself, and it was quite easy. The fit wasn't absolutely perfect, but I blame that on the crappy Olympic Arms lower, not the CMC machine work.

In most of mine I have put Jp yellow springs and did a slight polish job on sear and hammer this reduced it to about 3.5-4 lbs. Then I remove the pistol grip beware of lossing ur selector spring then using a set screw believe 1/4 20 1/4 in the grip screw hole u can adjust pretravel on trigger. With a Lil time and 10$ u'll b surprised Google "pre travel ar" for more info becareful and research this other wise u can fracture ur mag well

Geissele +1 for a 2 stage, Timney for a single stage. Pricey, but worth it.

If you still don't like it you're not out anything anyway. I did it on my DPMS and it went from probably 12 pounds to about 4 and from gritty to silky smooth. It's shocking how chitty the trigger mechanism looks when you pull them out and how good they look when you polish them. Start with 1,000 grit and work up to 2,000.

I'm a fan of CMC triggers, crisp light single stage triggers and they're made in FT Worth. pretty reasonable at about $150

I'm looking at getting two new triggers too.
So far I am diggin what I am seeing about AR Gold triggers. I want one for my .308 and 223. 3-4 lb pull, adjustable, won't bump fire. Some are reported as low as 1 lb but the manifacturer doesn't recommend that.

Add the JP springs and a little trigger butter and you will have a crisp 4 pound trigger. I have done several lately for my buddies and they are all happy with their AR's now.

Love my Geisselle SD3G trigger. Interesting thing about it is that the trigger pull is also variable along the length of the trigger. Using it for 3 gun ... grip it normally and use your finger pad up on the top for a good 3-4 pounds. Want precision work? Use the tip of the trigger for a 2.5 pound break.
Works for me.

Appreciate all the good information. I think I will go with the trigger made in Texas!

I have standard triggers and one Geiselle. The Geiselle SSA-E is really nice. Very pricey but nice. I want to try a CMC just since they're based in TX

Geiselle would be my first choice, POF also makes an awesome trigger.
