i have my license but thats it what else do i need to hunt teal on public lakes??? also any help on a good spot on lavon would be much appreciated,id be out on wed's and thurs's so i dont wanna steal someones regular spots! thanx all!

Private land hunters are pretty secretive when it comes to their public land honey holes. Your best bet is to scout some places out. When you do find a place, get there early enough so no one beats you there.

Hunters edj. is always a good thing. And yes you need a public hunting permit. Some places like grapevine you need a pass from the Army corp. but it's free.
