Does any 1 use the "MOJO Mallard"? Does it bring in many if any ducks in? I'm think'n bout getting one but I don't want to waist my money on crap!! The only thing I've used for many yrs. is the "Mallard Machine" but, it hasn't been bringing as many ducks in this yr.(so far!) -THANKS

The spinning wing decoys have a place in the spread at times. Yes they work very well we used at the right times. If you can, get one with a remote. FYI............ The spinners are very controversial. Arkansas is banned them for next season and I expect many other states will follow. Just so you know....

Mojo's do work for birds that are high up to keep them looking at your spread. However, they don't just bring the brds in. Gotta call and it's manditory to get the remote controlled mojo. If the wings are just alway spinning it doesn't look real. The first time i tried it ihad 3 wood ducks land within 2 ft of it with out even calling. I've had a lot of hens come in on it. Seemed to work good for a while then stopped. I think it depends on the area and how many birds have been shot at over one in a spread.

I agree with the last two post, Mojo Duck serves two purposes for us. It keeps the duck interested in your spread longer, and secondly if it's a calm day (not even a ripple on the water) we turn on Mojo to create a ripple. Get the remote version.

Is there any difference between the hen and drake mojo's? I'm wondering if one is better than the other.

not that I have seen.. They seem to key in on the motion of the wings. Just shows them activity in the spread and will make them look twice.

I am a terrible caller but still love to get out there and have had a mojo for two seasons and they work great. The birds really key in on them and i can do minimal calling so i dont screw up and it keeps them working. its also great for ripples and gives you something to watch on those slow days when the squirrels arent even moving.

Don't waste your money. Mojo's are way overused. They scare more ducks away than bring in. Keep you mallard machine, or rig up a jerk cord.

i will agree with duckhunter, i hunted with one of the first mojo's ever made in stutgart it was awesome. but every year that they are around you can see that the birds are spooked by them. on opening day with local's mabey but after that box it up and put it in the closet.

Anybody else see that Arkansas Fish and Game banned all spinning wing decoys for the 05-06 season. They say it led to to many young birds being harvested.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if they banned them here. (and I do have 2 mojos). For me, it makes me work harder on my calling skills and decoy placement and most of all scouting to find the ducks. I think TOO many people, especially those new to duck hunting, rely on the mojo decoys too much. They do have there place in the spread at times, but I have seen them work good and other times flare ducks off from 100 yards away. My 2cents. Coach

I wouldn't mind them being banned either. It takes up too much room so sometimes I am stuck on the back of the ATV. Or my friend forgets to charge the battery... Or we loose a nut for the wing and it wobbles like crazy... Or it falls in the water and you have to wade out to fix it as birds start landing...

They will still work not just stuck out in the middle of the spread like in years past. Take it and put it off to the side in the brush so the ducks can just catch glimpses of it this seems to hold there attention better when they cant get a good look at it.
