Almost got the bull snake with the weed eater, and the little horned toad with the mower. Both released in a safe place.

Nice save! I don't think many realize how many mice and rats those snakes eat. Rather have the snake around than the those nasty disease carrying rats and mice.

I once ran over a litter of four newborn rabbits with a push mower. My kid noticed it after I had passed. They were down in a plate sized depression about three inches deep. Not a scratch on them. They stayed perfectly still except for some shaking and darting eyes. Mama came that night and moved them because we never saw them again.

I just kill the snakes and then buy some Decon. That solves both problems.
