I just picked up a bow last season. I had opportunity to hunt with Saltfork on a place down in South Texas. One of the blinds on the place was so roomy, and it's where I got to fling my first arrow at a deer. I decided I wanted to replicate it as best I could.
The first pic shows the t-posts.

The next is with the panels and top in place.

This last one is after it was covered and has one window cut. I'll finish the other windows on my next trip down. We ran out of time to get it done today.

It's real hoggy in this area, so it may end up being primarily a hog blind, but it's just one more place to fling arrows from.

ok, doesn't get anymore redneck than this: Top=old satellite dish, covered with indoor/outdoor carpet. I liked the original stand's black indoor/outdoor carpet, but this was free. Dish was free, and had the panels and
t-posts already. So far, I've got about $45 in this thing, including the gas to go get the satellite dish.
Oh, and BTW, "TwoRacks" has one very similar, only theirs has pvc for the top frame.

looks nice. Watch out for snakes and skunks. Can't think of 2 worse thing to crawl into a blind with in the morning. Smell bad or die. But I do like it

Did you put plastic under the roof area? That would keep the water off you if it rains. Looks like something you'd see in Africa. Cool.

Hunting is more to me than Antlers on the wall. It's more about the memories you make, and sharing those memories with friends, and family.

No, I didn't. I'm hoping the rubber lining on the bottom of the carpet will help with that. That's a good idea though, wish I had thought about it. I could go back and add it if it's an issue.

Nice design. How did you get the satelite dish to stay on the t-posts?

I wired the framework on the dish to the panels.

I'd love to go back and WATCH you put plastic under the carpet on the roof. After wiring that carpet down to the dish all the way around, WATCHING is ALL I'm going to do if you undo all my hard work.

The one Tim hunted out of in S Texas is nicknamed "The Hubble" because of the satellite dish on top. It's hosted it's fair share of misses on lightning fast deer! I can only hope The Hubble, Jr. is host to as much fun. These blinds are great to bow hunt out of with a buddy or five. Once deer get used to it being there, you can move around some and they are none the wiser. Great for videoing misses, too. Tim, want me to post some video from last season?

Looks like a power pole real close by, you could run electricity to the blind so you could watch the cowboy game while you hunt.

Yep, feel free. I'm not ashamed of missing my first bow shot and having it on tape! If I'd a had a decent coach with me, I would've hit that doe! And the spike, oh and I woulda killed the other deer too!

Oh ye of little faith! If it needs to happen, I'll get it done.
All kidding aside, thanks a million for your help with this project. Hopefully it will pay off for us!

No, they're shorter than that.

The one in Cotulla that Tim modeled his after has never been brushed in. I've had deer walk past the blind at five feet and never as much as look toward the blind. Give it a few weeks and they won't pay it any mind.

That looks good. Bring plenty of water. Looks like you'll be plenty warm in it. Time to hit craigslist and see about finding my own big dish.

Picture removed.

Yeah, it's definitely a cool weather/morning blind. I got my dish off of Craig'slist.
