Why KS? SD is where the birds are. We Hunted Ringneck Hunting Lodging http://ringneckshuntinglodge.com/ and had one of the best hunts ever even with low bird count they kept saying but I could not tell Good luck

http://prairiehunts.com/ Doland, South Dakota. We've hunted with Lon for almost 15 years. Great guy, few openings, but consistently a great time, a great guy, and he works his butt off for you. The guy takes it really personally when you miss, or when he misses on getting you on the birds. Awesome hunts...we take 2 or 3 of our employees each year, and most of my uncles and a few cousins. Great trip. It's become a family / business tradition.

We take a group of 12-15 guys each year and always, even if we have to work hard for them, have a blast, and knock off some serious birds!

Medicine Creek Pheasant Ranch This is where we have hunted previously in South Dakota. Tons of birds. Great lodging. Guides are awesome and hooked us up with tons of prairie dogs in the afternoon. What about Nebraska? Maybe some pheasant and goose hunting? Any ideas?

Check out Last Chance Wings & Labs. Excellent hunting ground cultivated for Pheasants and the cost is very reasonable. Check him out at www.lastchancewingslabs.com, we have been hunting with him for 10 yrs and he always finds us birds to get on. Wild birds not release.

I hunted Ringneck Ranch out of Tilpton, KS years ago. Very nice place and awesome food and lodge. Even has its own landing strip. Looks like prices went up $200 since I went. I think we went 120 for 120 on Pheasant so they were released birds but with the droughts they have about the only way to go if you want to shoot a lot. Beautiful country. http://www.ringneckranch.net/

Last Chance Wings & Labs offers a full day hunting with lunch, and you can bring your own dogs for &170 a day but for first time hunters with them they only charge $150. Great deal to those coming from a long ways.

South Central Kansas received 4-6 inches of rain in the last week. Ponds are full for the first time in 3 years. Wheat in our area looks like 50-60 bushel/acre. Great news for birds.
