This is a reply to another THF member. Only trying to help the DIY trainers in NE Texas.
Hello and thanks for the interest.
Yes we are open and welcome your visit. We have quail and if not shooting they are $6 each $8 if you want to shoot. I am now settling some homing pigeons and should have them trained in two weeks or so. Pigeons will be $3.00 each and no shooting.
Life time one time membership fee$15.00 or $25 family.
I am working on a new website and fees schedules. I have had request from some other young dog owners who want a cheaper way to train more often. We now have remote control launchers available for rent and they are really good for the younger dogs. We also have an assortment of E-Collars you may rent and try out and they are different.
We have a resident dog trainer who sometimes does FREE consulting regarding bird dog training ideas. Rowdy has won several awards with his dog. He does basic obedience work for fee and we can board dogs.
Big field is too tall and the young dog area is perfect. $25.00 field fee for two hours. Would you be interested in a package for more use. Someone suggested a working mans price $200 until 10-15-13 includes free training field use unlimited and $50 Pigeon Club fee for no charge pigeons until 10-15-13.
I also have 4 good ponds for retrieval work and they are $25.00 for 2 hours or more.
I have a hand crank skeet thrower for use $25.00 two hours.
This is my home place and it is very hidden and private. I hope that people will appreciate the privacy factor and being the only one customer I allow at a time. Everything is family style and families are encouraged.
Looking forward to your visit.

What kinds of remote control launchers are you renting out?
A mock retriever hunt test setup both land and water would be nice to train with.

Dogtra Remote Launchers
We could do land and water work. Last year I had some retriever guys and thought some cheap blinds would be nice also and maybe even a boat for boat work.

I would have liked to have had something like this when I lived in the city.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Walter, how early in the morn can a man show up? Have two pups I need to get on some birds but most of the day is to hot and humid for pups as poorly conditioned as these guys. Would need a 6-8 pigeons and area to work them.

Stylesp, I live out here on the place. The three dogs in the end kennel were mine. Walter told me you were coming out and I was hoping to see a nice dog work but had to hit the road. I hope I get a chance to meet you and your pup next time you're out.

Look forward to meeting you stone. Dog work is a work in progress. Mostly the two of us getting to know eachother. I had a great time and can use all the tips I can get. Walter was very helpful as I am new to dog work. Those three dogs of yours looked really good!

If you come out again and I'm free, I'll help you all I can for as long as you're here. What is the story on your pup? Is he still green or has he had much done with him? Thanks for the words about my dogs. The Setter could be a nice dog, but BOY! what a quarky girl. When I go to work her I have to carry the transmitter in one hand and a bottle of Tylenol in the other. My grandma fell in love with her, so Cinna's on her way to a life of leisure. Penny's a washout from Kansas, but I think her potential just needs to be tapped. She's going to be a comer. Then Moxy... well, Moxy's my special girl. I can't talk about her without bragging, but you can read more about her on my site - www.StonefaceKennels.com. Give me a ring or drop me a line next time you come out and I'll try to be free.

The pup has just gotten back from the trainer. He does a good job hunting finding and pointing, just needs work on holding steady to wing and shot. This is my first bird dog and I'm learning more and more all the time. We are both raw to say the least.
Yeah Walter told me a little about Moxy, Very impressive. Will do

sad news Rowdy could not find day work in Texas and felt he needed to move back to his old job.
I sure liked that young man.
