I have been putting this off for a while, I was worried about working with such thin steel but really it wasn't much difference. I'm about 90% happy with this one its a little stiffer than I wanted, but I was dead set on a fillet knife that would hold an edge so I went for 58-59 hrc on this one, its stiffer then my 8.00 wall mart knife about the same as my kitchen fillet knives. 11 1/4" total 6 1/8" blade made from 1/16" stock thickness 440c handle is black and green g-10 with 416 stainless bolster simple nickel silver pins and lanyard tube.

nice... now you need to make one in a stabilized green pinecone so the handles look like fish scales.. or maybe a redfish color variation.... and then offer to me for real cheap because it is an awesome idea and is gonna sell you a bunch!!!!

I have to have one of those. What will you be selling them for when you get caught up?

Looks good, used it on any fish yet, if so how did it work?

Really like it. One of the best looking fillet knifes I've seen. The added bolsters with that black/green micarta looks really good.

I like it. It appears that the handle might get slippery when wet with water, guts, etc

I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

That is awesome. I use the Fillet Knife for skining and cutting up my deer and hogs. I find it a lot easier.
