That is a nice one. Webb county will likely be some of the Mescalero apache tribes. Time frame anywhere from the mid 1700's into the 1830's or so.

I think this would be older than something used by known "tribes". IMHO the point type could be a Scallorn or maybe even Caracara. Google those. An easy way to put it would be to say for those two point types, it was probably made sometime between the Year of Our Lord and the arrival of Columbus.

Nice find. I have not found an arrowhead in a long time. I probably should do a walkabout on my hunting lease soon. I need a fix.

Nice find, as to the origin, my guess would have been the Lipan Apaches or the Comanche, but based on Sniper John's comment I went to Google. Check this link out the second paragraph... http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/hcw05

Years ago I hunted a place between Freer and Laredo. After a heavy rain I could walk the arroyos and pick up dozens of arrowheads freshly washed out.

We are moving to a new place this year. I can't wait to explore it for artifacts.

Great find!!!
I can assure you that there is more than just that one in that same area. So on your next ranch visit walk same area very slowly. If you can train your eyes to look for flint/chert the better luck you will have. Also when you’re out looking don't look for arrow heads but look for flint/chert.
Also... When you are out looking only take a few steps at a time and again remember to only look for only flint/chert.
You will be amazed on how many more arrow heads you will find.
