I'd love to take him but I won't be able to get down that way to late Sept. Good luck to whomever takes advantage of this deal.

I have a couple of people asking about him. He is in Bandera about 3 miles from town. I have another 2 year old buck that has about 16" horns that I will take $500 for.

I still have the Axis for sale. The first person backed out because the wife thought the money could be spent in a better way. The second did not back out I told him I did not want to hunt him. I do not charge a guide fee and the only thing you are going to pay is if you hit the deer. safdm44 wanted to be guaranteed he could come here and hunt from a stand for at least 3 days. To me it sounded like he wanted 3 days of free hunting even if he decided not to take the Axis. That is why I told him I did not want him to hunt here. Anyone ever heard of something like this?

It's a cull hunt, if you have an opportunity, you take it. It's one thing to want at least three days to attempt to score and another to be guaranteed three days hunting. The agreement is for one animal, once it's taken, the contract is fulfilled.

You got a deal if he is still here. This safdm44 is goofy as hell. I am not charging $1000 up front for a guaranteed hunt. He only lives about 3o miles from here and it is not like he would be out all that money for gas and lodging for the hunt. To be guaranteed a person could waste 3 days of your time and maybe not take the animal does not even make sense. As far as I know I have never promised anyone anything I could not deliver. As far as I know everyone who has come hunting here has not been screwed. Oh well there is one in every crowd and I was lucky enought to spot this one before he came.

Okay. Im here now... LIES Don and youd have a fat lip if you were standing next to me for basically calling me that.

For the record I think the price is great. we had discussed type of hunting ... he said still was fine. Im okay with that. I aksed if was no kill no pay. He said yes only if you hit it or draw blood... then I d owe $1000. agreed... When I got to aksing him about the hunt terms as far as time frame he said quick. I said I need to check my schedule. I am a Firefighter for SA.. I DONT LIE.. my word means something to me. Before I could go further he sent a PM stating I get one day only...above you say "it looks like I wanted 3 days of free hunting"? The offer you gave me first was basically for one day free hunting if I didnt shoot him, no kill no pay. I didnt want free hunting. I can go hunt on my ranch for free in October. I wanted axis meat for 1K and you said you wanted that animal off the ranch becasue he was wild. You can't make up your mind.

Now who offers a great deal like that which has no real benefit for him if the person comes for one day? It would be a waste of his time if someone came and didnt see the buck... he would have nothing to show but a wasted day. So I questioned the one day. I stated its my $1000 I want to make sure I get him.. I want the meat. He knows this. He never said come out to my place for a "chance" to harvest him... and if you get him then you owe me $1000... If you list that on here you may get some bites.. but it makes no sense if he really wants the money/animal off his place, why no agreement could be made. He didnt even discuss maybe a $50 daily guide fee.. I started questioning if he really wanted it off his ranch. To me, his swaying was a red flag... So I told YOU first Ill pass.... not the way you describe SIR. I backed out first.

I like how now you have more details on your offer now. You should be up front on your "deal" on the OP. I would have never done it for one day only, if you had listed it that way ....even if it had a no kill fee.

Also there was no "maybe" about my end of the deal. I have 1K in my pocket waiting for a hunt Sir... No way was I going to come out and not shoot him if I saw him... I told you that I wanted the meat. Why would anyone agree to come hunt for an axis, knowing I can only shoot an axis and then just sit all day and not shoot him, the way you describe.

This is what I thought the hunt might intail....1K gets you a nice axis buck and maybe you would have me come when it was convenient to you and get him... I figure since you said he came to eat with the deer we would see him... realistically with 3-4 sittings. That is not that much time and is both worth our while... me getting some meat and you 1K... simple
Too bad its hard for you to understand... You need to list your offer exactly what you intend before you go badmouthing people.
