Finally got my suppressor in, mailed the trust paperwork out the week of halloween. It's a factory remington aac .308 20", bedded in a hs stock. Zeiss 4.5-14 conquest rapid z800. Shoots hornady 168 amax into inch or less, but the federal gold match 168 it will make one hole just way to easy and a plus is the poi are the exact same with both rounds at 100 yards. My suppressor is a yhm phantom .30. Going to try out some southwest ammo 190 smk subsonics as soon as they come in, as i have one feeder, my pistol feeder 40 yards from my stand. The other two are 85 and 130 yards. So, i figured at 40 yards ear holing and neck shooting pigs with subsonic ammo would be way to easy at that distance.

Yep, got the thread on. Now, i wish i would of did the titanium one, but i dont pack this thing to far anyways. Its fun to shoot, thats for sure! Now i need totry it on my ar-15, wheni have time.

Looks awesome. My 700 SPS tactical is at Morgan's right now getting threaded and the QD YHM mount installed for my can once my stamp comes in.

I love my phantom... I have a QD on every single rifle I have, even my 5.56 ARs. I'm ordering another 30 cal YHM titanium can after the summer. Personally there isn't enough of a difference in the 556 can on a 556 rifle vs a 30 cal can on 556 rifle. Some say there is, but I can't hear it.

Awesome. I have been looking into getting a .30 caliber suppressor as well. How much does it take off the recoil?

I have the SS QD Phantom on a Savage 308 and I don't notice much difference in recoil with or without it with full power hunting rounds.

It seems to dampen it some, but the rifle was pretty heavy already. Today i picked up the adapter to mount it on my ar-15, it's even quieter then the .308 bolt gun. I always heard they would sound the same using supersonic ammo, but the .223 bullet seems to make much less noise going down range. My .308 weighs 11.8 lbs with the suppressor, my .223 weighs 9 lbs with the same suppressor and adapter. Time for some fun hog hunting. Now i want to order me a integral .22 rifle. Yep, thats how i feel now Fireman jg and cb! Just cant wait to lay out a few hogs with it.

How long of a barrel do you have on the AR is it an SBR or regular 16" barrel?

Its a 16 lightweight daniel defense barrel kroyal. Its the middle one, its wearing a leupold 3-9 on her now instead of the leupold mark ar1-4, it sucked at dark. Quick shooting up close, but no good at dark for hog hunting!

Thanks. I'm about to be doing the exact same thing. My stamps are off right now for a YHM QD phantom and my 20" 700 is being threaded and the QD mount installed. I ordered my QD mount for my AR today. Hopefully the 10.5" SBR barrel will be quiet as well.

I have a savage too . And had a scar17 . I could diffinately notice felt recoil with the can on , it was a bit less than without it on . I could tell pretty big difference . On the scar17 without the can on it wanted to dot ur eye with the scope , with can on it was much more manageable
And I could stay on target better with the can with both guns after a shot

My ar or should i say my wifes ar. She claimed it and thinks it hers.
