I have the full sized 9mm, and I like it a lot. I shoulda gotten the 40, but worried about the wife and her handling recoil.

I shot mine yesterday (the full sized PX4 type F), and I really do like it. My shooting guest had a Glock 9mm. I prefer the Beretta, but that's just me.

The Beretta shot everything I put in it, which was two types of reloads and some cheap hardball ammo. That said, my limpwristing wife will stovepipe that pistol every time she shoots it unless I use full power store bought ammo.

I bought one to use as a carry weapon, but it sits on the night stand and I still carry my glock...

The beretta is the most uncomfortable pistal ive carried.

Oh, I see you already made the purchase.

Really, it's not a bad pistol and you got it at a good price. I would have recommended the Compact over the SC; but no worries.

OTOH, I have had about 5 PX4 pistols over the last two years and traded them all off.

Be careful comparing the subcompact to the full size. I have the px4 in .40 in full size too and the two guns are actually different in one key factor. The SubCompact doesn't have the rotating barrel which helps keep the recoil down like Fisher said. I was thinking about picking up a compact or sub compact myself too.

I have the compact model in 40. No major complaints. It's accurate, and as a bonus, the compacts can use the full size mags.

In a 40 the compact gives you a 4 finger grip, unless you have really fat fingers and that lends a quicker follow up and more control.

I wanted the de-cocker only, but I am unsure they offer it in the comp size, so I settled for the type f.

The only things I would change are the safety lever and more aggressive slide serrations. Rack it a few times before buying to make sure this isn't an issue for you. My wife is on the dainty side, and she liked the slide pull. She strains quite a bit racking my XDm4.5 40, but was happy with the Storm. I would have gotten the 9mm Storm due to the very easy rack. But, she wanted the 40, so a 40 it was.

Edit: Missed the post saying you ordered one. You can always go with the larger model later on if you decide to.

I'd go with a CZ.
