My second attempt at growing onions turned out pretty good, this is about half of them. Planted the first week of February. 
Past performance is the best predictor of future behavior.

You couldn't grow something worth eating?
They're fun to grow. Just can't stand eating the things. Some folks just don't know good eating. Those look great. Clean a few and grill'em with a steak or big pork chop!

I've been pulling mine 2 at atime so I can stretch out eating them! They will last a long time in crisper in the fridge also.
