Don't have one, but handled several at gunshows. IMHO, too heavy, not particularly appealing in the looks department, no aftermarket parts (to speak of), etc. If it were me, I'd go with a 700, 77 or Model 70-not necessarily in that order.

They had some accuracy problems when they first came out. I would look at the new Browing x-bolt, Rem 700 or Vangaurd. For the money I think its hard to be the SUB MOA vanguards

This is what Field and Stream had to say about them Thompson/Center Icon, .308 Best Group: .488" Average Group: .533" The Icon has a wood stock, but in that stock lurks an aluminum bedding girder that locks into the flat-bottomed receiver at three points. And since the barrel is free-floated, the whole rig is as stable as any synthetic stock. The trigger is one of the best. Suspect for sure, but I have a friend that has the sub moa in 25-06 and its pretty close to those numbers.
