This picture came from my brother's place near Ranger. This buck was never seen again among 3 trail cams and us guys trying to find him. I hope he survived for this year, wish he had gotten closer to the camera.. 
Past performance is the best predictor of future behavior.

Looks like he walked in front of camera first it just didn't get a pic till he was at that angle walking away. He is a ghost.

Good luck seeing him next season. We had a nice 10 show up once in November, hasn't been seen before, or since. A glimpse like that keeps us coming back year after year.

He's a trophy for Ranger! ARs have really helped that county Yep. Erath cty too. We've seen a deer similar to that. He got busted up early from fighting though.

Look for hunt late summer and during the rut. Those older deer will normally show up again once the girls start going into estrus.
